The new, high-performance GXP models include sport-tuned suspensions for sharper handling, 18-inch alloy wheels, and stylish body kits that are unique to either the coupe or sedan.

Standard safety features include the StabiliTrak Dynamic Control System to help maintain composure during evasive maneuvers. The available Traction Control System helps to prevent wheel spin during acceleration. Standard 4-wheel disc anti-lock brakes increase stopping power and help to prevent wheel lockup. All G6 models feature dual-stage frontal and side-impact airbags and head curtain side-impact airbags (not available on convertible) to protect front and rear seat passengers in a collision.
