Group launched its Keys to Success Program in the 2004-05 school year. The program’s foremost goal is to drive academic excellence among Utah’s
high school students. Last year, The Ken Garff Automotive Group gave away over 50,000 prizes and had $700,000 in prizes donated to achieving high
school students as incentives through the program. The Ken Garff Automotive Group is donating 54 $1,000 scholarships to these participating high
schools as well.
In addition to the Keys to Success Program, Ken Garff also introduced a reading program for the 2007-08 school
year called Road to Success. Children will set their own reading objectives and measure their
performance.
The Ken Garff Automotive Group has also donated to higher education institutions in Utah
as well. In 2007, the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah received a $3 million gift from the Garff family. The gift will
provide funds to remodel the Kendall D. Garff Building in the David Eccles School of Business building complex, which was originally built in
1964. The new facility will be renamed the Ken Garff Building.
